Andrew B. Hellinger is a Principal of URBAN-X, a real estate development and advisory company. His current focus is the design and development of River Landing Shops and Residences. Under his direction and leadership has obtained its entitlements and rezoning in May 2013, within a six-month period.

Prior to developing his own projects, in 2006, Mr. Hellinger became President of Leviev Baymelgreen Developers (“LBD”) an Israeli based real estate partnership in Florida with $750 million in commercial and residential real property as well as vacant land. During his tenure at LBD, Mr. Hellinger led the construction of the Marquis, a premier condominium property in Miami, which required securing the agreement of the City of Miami, Miami Dade County and FAA to standardize and raise the building heights across the County to allow for the construction of the Marquis in a record ten-month period. Mr. Hellinger also restructured, repositioned or redesigned LBD’s remaining assets in anticipation of economic downturn to meet then-current market demands. This strategy allowed the company to sell its entire portfolio ahead of market forces and at a profit for the seller. Because of his efforts, Mr. Hellinger was awarded Top Dealmakers, Distressed Real Estate 2009 in South Florida.

Thereafter, Mr. Hellinger created Hellinger Penabad Companies to provide real estate development, construction, management and consulting services to investors, lenders and equity funds. Mr. Hellinger was appointed by various lenders and equity funds as the Receiver of various distressed real estate projects and assets in Florida including most notably, the Paramount Bay and the Oaks at Biscayne Landing. As Receiver, Mr. Hellinger responsibilities included: inspecting the assets; creating and implementing a remedial plan for any defects; completion of any construction; redesign; repositioning the assets; management of all claims and litigation; management of all municipal and other zoning issues; processing all permits and management of all sales and marketing for the projects.
